On Thursday, May 1st, 2008 at 12:31 p.m., I officially announced my intent to run for the office of District Attorney as a Democrat. That day, specially selected with a purpose and vision in mind, was the National Day of Prayer for our country. That National Day of Prayer marked the beginning of a very important and amazingly exciting personal and political journey – the journey toward becoming your next District Attorney!
I’m running because of you. I am running because you, the citizens of Chatham County deserve much better. You deserve to have a District Attorney who will be committed to you and your peace of mind. You deserve to have a District Attorney who will be unbiased, effective and efficient. You deserve a district attorney who will balance the scales of justice with fairness. I am that person. As your District Attorney, I will be tough yet fair in prosecuting cases, I will be smart on solutions to fix the crime problem, and I will be loyal to victims of crime and accountable to you.
