Meet Zena:

Zena McClain is a native of Washington, D.C. She graduated from Dunbar Senior High School and then went on to matriculate at Howard University. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in History from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and her Juris Doctorate Degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in Saint Louis, Missouri. Upon graduating from Law School she worked briefly in Washington, D.C. before relocating to Savannah, Georgia where she eventually opened up her own law firm. Her practice primarily focuses on criminal law, employment law and general civil litigation. She has represented numerous clients, including the National Church of God In Christ and has secured major victories and financial settlements for her clients. She recently appeared on the Nationally Syndicated MSNBC Show – “Dan Abrams” on behalf of one of her clients in a major case involving internationally known talk show host Montel Williams.

As a trial lawyer, Zena has successfully tried many criminal and civil cases. She has had jury trials involving charges as serious as murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary, and hijacking. She has also had jury trials in Federal Court involving employment matters and criminal matters.

Throughout her life, Zena has maintained a commitment to community service. Her commitment to service was nurtured as a child when she first began to volunteer at Howard University Hospital working with geneticists in the lab. In her college years, she volunteered with many volunteer organizations lecturing and mentoring young people. Since being in Chatham County, her commitment to community service and her community has continued. She has volunteered her time and talents to many local organizations serving on not-for-profit community boards and mentoring young people. She is a graduate of Leadership Savannah and a past board member of the King-Tisdell Cottage Foundation. She presently serves on the boards of the Small Business Assistance Corporation, MARTHA Incorporated, Vision 2000 CDC and BRAVO just to name a few. She is a member of The Links, Incorporated, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, The Georgia Bar, The Savannah Bar Association, Port City Bar Association and the American Institute of Parliamentarians.

Zena attends Bethel A.M.E. Church, is married and is the proud mother of one daughter and a proud step-mother of one teenage son.
